Stress is one of the most damaging issues that affect just about every person at one time or another. According to the Mayo Clinic stress can cause:
- Physical symptoms: headache, muscle tension or pain, chest pain, fatigue sex-drive change, stomach upset, sleep problems
- Emotional symptoms: anxiety, restlessness, lack of motivation/focus, feeling overwhelmed, irritability, anger, sadness, or depression
- Affects of stress on behavior: Over or under – eating, angry outbursts, drug or alcohol abuse, tobacco use, social withdrawal, less active physically
Reiki helps us to destress and allows our bodies to relax, which lowers adrenaline levels (destressing us).
